This is our longest RIB day tour, where we take you past or ashore at all the coastal lighthouses in Vestfold and tell you about what we see along the way. Of course we also pass many other small lighthouses and well-known places.
The tour goes one way or the other depending on wind and waves. We plan it so that we mostly run with the sea when we are offshore, to make it more comfortable for our passengers. In particularly rough weather we may have to change or shorten the tour to keep to the schedule.
The route
Vallø, Tønsberg, out Vestfjorden past Nøtterøy and Brunstad (Oslofjord Convention Center), past H-øya, in between Tjøme and Veierland, out past Hui, in between the skerries at Stauper, past Tønsberg Tønne (here we can start to speed up and meet some waves), past Holteskjæret lighthouse, a short detour to Kjerringvik, then we head for Ula, an old pilot harbour (here we can stop and buy drinks or food and perhaps look at the statue of Ulabrand, a very famous pilot), on to Stavern (a meal and guided visit are possible for an extra charge) and past Stavernodden lighthouse (a guided visit is possible for an extra charge). We take the inner channel across the Rakkebåene to Tvistein lighthouse (a detour to Nevlunghavn is possible if you want extra time), then point the bow at Svenner lighthouse (here we stop, take our time and go ashore). Then we cross open sea to Verdens Ende on Tjøme (a long stretch of open sea), and enter Færder National Park. We thread our way close to Verdens Ende and the National Park Centre, through Uleholmsundet between Hvasser and Uleholmen, catch a glimpse of Sandøsund, before we go offshore directly to Færder lighthouse. At Færder lighthouse there is a landing and guiding, and we often see seals here. We continue towards Store Færder and tell stories from there, then set course straight out towards Hollenderbåen lighthouse on the last long open-sea stretch, point the bow at Fulehuk lighthouse (a guided visit is possible for an extra charge), pass Skarvesetet, and move close and slowly past Østre Bolæren (meal and guided visit possible for an extra charge), Kongstenssund, Mellem Bolæren, Jensesund and Vestre Bolæren (meal and guided visit possible for an extra charge), before we are back in the harbour.
This is a long tour of about 6 hours and about 90 nautical miles, depending on the weather. We take time for 3 stops of about 30 minutes along the way, and we drive slowly and calmly in many sections so you can enjoy the magnificent archipelago.
